a few words about us

The Beginnings

MBX-treme has been in business since 2001. Mark Boothe, owner, was introduced to DJing by his brother and best friend, Ross Boothe and Lane Olson. Ross and Lane started DJing in high school for free to save their school money. After Ross and Lane graduated, Mark was given the honors of providing fun dance events for the students. After a short amount of time, Mark realized the great business potential that was in his hands. Mark started buying his own sound and lighting equipment, paid for a business license and started what is now called MBX-treme DJs LLC. The company prides itself on providing top-of-the-line dance experiences for its customers. MBX-treme has grown from a few speakers and barely one DJ system, to numerous speakers, mixers, lighting shows, complete setups and multiple DJs that have wowed crowds around the state of Utah. MBX-treme only employs DJs that are top rate and committed to the values that have made the business what it is today.

Al is the principal salesman for Van Wagenens where MBX-treme buys most of its sound and lighting equipment. Occasionally, team MBX-treme is lucky enough to have Al render his services.
